An award-winning senior designer working on page and screen.
I was interested in fine arts at a young age, but my dad was an electrical engineer teacher and he collected the newest technologies. The combination of being on a computer since I could spell, paired with my interest in dabbling with photoshop landed me a career in graphic design.
I am still interested in painting and sculpture and will jump at the opportunity to get my hands dirty. When I am not at my computer, you might find me practicing calligraphy in my sunlit studio with a bottomless latte. I bought a new gold ink from Paper & Ink Arts and it is incredible. You will see me at the next Creative Mornings talk — my secret is that I set the alarm on my phone for 10:55am. The horse depicted above is Constable James Quinn. He was the first Chicago Officer to sacrifice his life in the line of duty. I was fortunate enough to be commissioned by the Chicago Cubs for the Horses of Honor public art show in 2015, and I am getting started on a new piece for a public art show for 2017!
If you are interested in collaborating on a project or would just like to grab a beer, please drop me a line. I'm a lover of volleyball, blueberries, and craft brews — and I enjoy talking to strangers.
They aren't all of my niece, they sometimes include silly sketches, photos or paintings I am working on.
Unless you're bringing craft brews, then just stop by.
