Kava is a root found on South Pacific islands. Islanders have used it as medicine and in ceremonies for centuries. Kava has a calming effect, producing brain wave changes similar to changes that occur with calming medicine. Kava is new to the Chicago market, and Tropikava is the first bar in the city to serve these non-alcoholic drinks.
I designed their brand with the South Pacific in mind. Bringing in patterns of tropical leaves and flowers help put you into a relaxation mindset, while subtle gold foil detail elevates the brand.
I am in the process of extending these brand standards through their business cards and website design. There are plans in place to launch their retail offering in 2019.
